FAQ

What does barrel-aged honey actually taste like?

Layered and complex. You will notice the honey first, then soft notes of vanilla, oak, caramel, and a whisper of bourbon. It is not boozy. It is a finishing honey with depth.

Does barrel-aged honey contain alcohol?

No. The honey absorbs the wood and residual flavor compounds from the barrel, not measurable alcohol.

How is barrel aged different from bourbon-infused?

Most flavored honey on the market is infused, meaning the honey is blended with bourbon, smoke, or extracts after the fact. Ours is barrel aged. The honey rests inside a real ex-bourbon barrel and pulls flavor from the wood and residual spirit over time, the same way bourbon is made. No additives.

Where does your honey come from?

100% raw, USA-sourced honey from American beekeepers.

How should I use it?

Treat it like a finishing ingredient. Drizzle on a cheese board, stir into an Old Fashioned, glaze a pork shoulder, swirl into yogurt or coffee. Visit our Recipes page for ideas.

How should I store it?

Room temperature, away from direct sunlight. Raw honey can crystallize over time, which is natural. Warm the jar gently in warm water to return it to a liquid state.

What are your shipping and return policies?
